Slower doesn’t mean behind! Part 1

Hi it’s been a minute! Let’s catch up.

I was supposed to be doing this series on the day in the life of menopause, and funny enough, I took a pause because life was handing out checks I couldn’t cash, honey. I was trying to push through and start doing all the things. So let me run it back. I went to get my annual exam with my general physician. She told me my numbers weren’t changing and I’m now prediabetic, and my heart sank. She was talking, but all I could think of was needles, needles, and more needles ( my dad is a diabetic and he has to take shots for everything, and it breaks my heart); she tapped my leg and asked whether I was ok and I said yes, but my head was spinning. She told me the main thing I needed to do was exercise, which I was doing, but not to the degree I was doing when the weight wasn’t piling up. I wasn’t working out like that because each time I became more and more discouraged with the scale, so this last visit I said I was getting up the next morning and starting to walk. I kept my word, and it was a beautiful walk. The next morning I was eager and ready to start my walk, but what I was doing was rushing that day, rushing to check the exercise off my list because pediatrics didn’t sit right with me. The rushing led to me taking a slight hop crossing the street onto some grass, and boom. I hear a snap and crack. I have rolled into a ditch- laawwwwd, who does that at my big age? But there I was, in pain, trying to figure out what led me here… come back for part 2
