Adding spontaneity to life

Often we can get caught up into the day-to-day lifestyle without adding any spice to it. It’s OK to indulge in a little bit of spontaneity because it takes you into a zone of “let’s just go with the flow.” Going with the flow means, I am giving up all control and allowing life to just thrive within me. Most times I like to be in control of the things that I want to do and plan it out perfectly. Is that always the best method? for some yes, for others it could be too mundane in a routine.

For those of you who like to live on the edge just a little bit here are some pointers to make sure you live and do things within your control but also with some added fun.

1. Know what you want to do but don’t search or plan out all the details step by step. Give room to switch things up, for example, you want to visit a certain restaurant but the wait will be extremely long, well, keep your name on the list but go have a drink at a nearby restaurant. When your table is ready go and enjoy. Or, choose a nearby restaurant that offers similar things on the menu.

2. Search for things to do in your city for that day. Many times there are concerts, new exhibits, or open seating venues to try just enjoy the vibe. You may meet people that will propel you to a whole new level in life.

3. Take a day trip pick the time or distance you want yo drive and pin the place it lands on. Meet some locals that will tell you what’s happening in their town. Find a beach, lake or park and have a picnic after you grab a sandwich and drinks. Just do things without a specific layout to the beginning middle and end.

Living on purpose can be so rewarding and you take memories with you that’ll last a lifetime. Grab your friends and see if they’ll join you. Life is great when you’re living life.
