Entitlement of your title! part 2

Express your feelings to the appropriate authorities and do it with professionalism. I was taught if you have a problem then bring the solution along too. Here are some more ways to get an issue resolved without losing yourself or your job.

  • Call them out (respectfully): You can respectfully tell them when their behavior is hurtful or inappropriate. If you feel like you doing would get you placed in the wrong position then again notify hire- ups.

Now this part always take me a while to understand between you’re upset you care less about what they may have experienced…….howeverrrrr we’re learning and growing here
  • Understand Their Perspective
  • Show empathy:While their behavior is frustrating, a little compassion can go a long way.

Recognize potential underlying issues: A superiority complex can sometimes stem from feelings of insecurity or vulnerability. Insecurity shows up as the loudest thing in the room you have to take notice quickly to avoid being seen as the aggressor. Always have the ability to control your emotions and act accordingly.

    Know When to Disengage
  • Step away or ignore them: If the person’s behavior doesn’t change, it’s sometimes best to disengage and focus on what you can control.
  • Document interactions: Keep records of interactions, especially if escalation or reporting becomes necessary, notes on your phone or a journal is best. This is something my parents have expressed because time goes by and when you need that information you don’t want to be holding your head trying to recall events “black and white” always keeps track.
  • Focus on Actions, Not Titles
  • Remember true leadership:Understand that true leadership is about taking responsibility and uplifting others, not about possessing a title.
  • And always “never negate the Nu-N-U”
