How have you been handling these last weeks?……fall is coming and that means warm and cozy lifestyle and energy…..but pause before we get there how do we prepare for it?
Experiencing days with no motivation is normal and does not mean you are lazy. I was absolutely exhausted today. I came home did my motherly duties of course but once I was in my room, I took the longest and hardest nap. That didn’t help my exhaustion. It just helped ease it a little bit. Luckily my chat line was minimal because it today wasn’t the day that I could offer any motivation or that I could give myself any motivation, and sometimes you have those days. It’s OK to not have it all figured out, but we need to also think about how do you push through so it doesn’t overcome our purpose in our lives. However, if it persists, it can signal an underlying issue like burnout, chronic stress, or mental health concerns.
How to manage unmotivated days
Reset and or quiet your mind
- Use the 10-minute rule: Give yourself permission to quit a task after just 10 minutes. Getting started is often the hardest part, and you will likely find you have enough momentum to keep going.
- Remember your “why”: Remind yourself of the ultimate reason you have for pursuing a goal. Visualizing what success looks and feels like can help reconnect you to your purpose.
- Celebrate small wins: Focus on any little accomplishments you make throughout the day. This provides small hits of dopamine, which can be a powerful motivator.
- Act “as if”: Pretend you are already motivated. Get dressed and start moving as if you were ready to tackle your tasks. Your actions can help change your mindset.
- Practice self-compassion: Instead of beating yourself up, acknowledge that it’s okay to have an off day. Talk to yourself like you would a good friend, offering encouragement rather than criticism.
- Are you ready to embrace the pumpkin spice takeover, Ugg boots and orange and brown twang if so …..Stay tuned for more!!!!!
