Fear is one of the biggest emotions holding me back. I wonder if I should just go back to journaling, write a book, or get therapy. I don’t think I’m even prepared to discuss some childhood memories. However, I do want to move beyond it because it faces you at the door every chance it gets and it’s winning. This time around I want to win because this is my life and journey and no one gets to tell it but me. So how do you move past the fears? Although I have some great coping skills below. What happens when none of it is working. I would love to hear your coping mechanisms and how you are able to get the best out of it.
. You might feel like you’re spinning your wheels, knowing what you need or want, yet finding it difficult to move forward. This often involves a clash between what you desire and the self-sabotaging behaviors or thoughts that prevent you from achieving it. It’s a call to look inward, acknowledge the internal barriers, and begin the process of breaking free. I’ll dive into the other three areas in later blogs for now here are skills and don’t forget to comment.
Healing Coping Skills:
- Mindfulness: Focusing on the present moment, observing thoughts and feelings without judgment, can help you gain awareness of the patterns keeping you stuck.
- Journaling: Writing down your thoughts and emotions can help you understand the root of your internal resistance and identify self-defeating patterns.
- Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself during this process. Recognize that feeling stuck is a part of life and growth, not a failure.
- Positive Affirmations: Replace negative self-talk with positive affirmations that build confidence and self-belief.
- Seeking Support: Talking to a trusted friend, family member, or therapist can offer perspective and help you process your feelings.
- Action Planning: Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps and create a plan to move forward.
- Engage in Hobbies: Rediscover activities you enjoy to boost your mood and provide a sense of accomplishment.
- Spend Time in Nature: Connecting with nature can reduce stress and offer a calming perspective.
