I went to my daughter‘s track meet and upon entering the stadium the lady asked to see my college ID so I can get a discount as a student. I went on to say to the lady “ why I appreciate you asking me for college ID I’m not in college, but I love that you think that I look young enough to be one.“ After watching my daughter complete her performance on the field we were leaving and I shared with her my experience with a lady and the ID. She told me “mom old people go to college too,” and my face was floored. All I could do was laugh because it was so funny to me that I never registered that older people do go to college too, Therefore. be careful how you take a compliment because your children will quickly humble you and remind you to stay in your lane.
